Mount Marapi Volcano in Indonesia has erupted again, halting the search for 12 missing climbers and causing 11 hikers to be found dead. Rescuers worked through the night to find dozens of hikers stranded on the volcano and injured and burned survivors were carried down the mountain on foot. The Indonesian government has urged people to stay away from the area until further notice.

Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend a temporary truce for another 24 hours, with Hamas releasing 10 Israeli hostages per day in exchange for 30 Palestinian prisoners. Two more Israeli hostages were released on Thursday, and the temporary truce has allowed Palestinians to return to their homes and businesses in the Gaza Strip. Negotiations are ongoing to extend the truce, with additional hostages expected to be transferred in the coming hours.
