On Monday, a Navy P-8A Poseidon surveillance plane overshot a runway while approaching Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii, with all nine people aboard the plane uninjured. Diane Dircks captured a photo of the plane in the water just offshore, reminiscent of the 2009 "Miracle on the Hudson". The Coast Guard responded to the incident, but rescue operations were quickly called off and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
