Greek Island of Rhodes Experiences Devastating Wildfire, Evacuation of Four Locations Ordered

A large wildfire has been burning on the Greek island of Rhodes for the past five days, forcing authorities to order an evacuation of four locations. The Greek Coastguard has lead more than 20 boats in an emergency evacuation, and the Greek government has deployed firefighting aircraft and helicopters to help contain the blaze. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities are continuing to investigate and monitor the situation.

Tragic Train Collision in Northern Greece Leaves 26 Dead and 85 Injured

At least 26 people were killed and 85 injured in a tragic train collision in northern Greece on Wednesday morning. Multiple train cars derailed and at least three caught fire, with images from the scene showing smoke pouring out of toppled train cars and long lines of rescue vehicles. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his condolences and said the government would provide any necessary assistance.
