Rapper Coolio, Grammy Award-Winning Artist of “Gangsta’s Paradise,” Dies at Age 53 from Accidental Overdose

Rapper Coolio, best known for his Grammy Award-winning single “Gangsta’s Paradise,” died in April 2021 due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine. He had been suffering from heart disease, asthma, and had recently used PCP at the time of his death. Coolio was remembered by his manager as “a kind and generous soul” who “will be deeply missed.”

Wayne Shorter, an influential jazz innovator and tenor saxophonist, died Thursday at the age of 85. He was a foundational member of two seminal jazz groups, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and the Miles Davis Quintet, and released more than 25 albums over eight decades. He won 11 Grammy Awards, was inducted into the DownBeat Jazz Hall of Fame, and was a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Award and the Polar Music Prize.

Panic! at the Disco to Disband After Upcoming European Tour, Lead Singer to Focus on Family

Panic! at the Disco announced their disbandment on Tuesday, citing lead singer Brendon Urie's desire to focus on his family as the reason. The band, which formed in 2004, has released six studio albums and been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. Fans can look forward to their final performance on their upcoming European tour.
