Body of Missing Man Found in Sunken Sailboat Off Fort Myers Beach After Hurricane Ian

Nearly four months after Hurricane Ian hit Florida, the body of James “Denny” Hurst, 72, has been found in a sunken sailboat off Fort Myers Beach. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office found the boat, named "Good Girl," in Matanzas Pass and said Hurst was last known to have been on board when the storm hit. He was the last known person still missing in Lee County after the Category 4 hurricane, and the Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
