The Long Island Rail Road strike continues into its third day with no agreement in sight, forcing thousands of commuters to rely on shuttle buses and subways. Negotiations between the MTA and unions remain stalled amid disputes over wages and healthcare contributions.

On Thursday evening, a collision between a double-decker tour bus and an MTA bus in Manhattan left 18 people injured. 27 were hospitalized, including the tour bus driver, and 50 were examined at the scene. Fire and EMS officials had to use ladders and ropes to get some people out of the bus due to the crash damage. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment and the MTA is working with the NYPD to investigate the incident.
On Saturday morning, a public bus in Baltimore City crashed into two cars before hitting a building, injuring 17 people, two of them critically. The Baltimore Police Department responded to the scene and the Maryland Transit Administration reported that 10-15 people were transported to local hospitals. The MTA police department is actively investigating the incident and urged riders to use the Transit app for alert notifications.
Stella Stevens, an iconic actress of the 1960s and 70s, has passed away at the age of 82.
