Survey Reveals Biden’s Support Has Dropped Significantly Among Muslim and Arab Democrats in Michigan

A survey conducted by Joe Biden's former pollster has revealed a drop in support among Muslim and Arab Democrats in Michigan, a key demographic group that overwhelmingly backed Biden in the swing state in 2020. Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Pramila Jayapal have both called for a cease-fire in Gaza, with Tlaib accusing Biden of supporting "the genocide of the Palestinian people". The survey results suggest that Biden's handling of the war in Gaza could have a major impact on the 2022 midterms, and he will need to take decisive action to maintain the support of Muslim and Arab Democrats.

A new survey shows that Joe Biden's support has dropped significantly among Muslim and Arab Democrats in Michigan, a key swing state in 2020. This lends credence to warnings from community leaders that Biden's handling of the war in Gaza could cost him the state. In Gaza, the situation is dire with no access to basic necessities and a third total internet outage.

Rep. Tlaib Accuses Biden of Supporting “Genocide of the Palestinian People” in Video Posting

Rep. Rashida Tlaib has accused President Joe Biden of supporting "the genocide of the Palestinian people" in a video posted Friday, sparking debate over the Biden administration's stance on the conflict in Gaza. Hassan Abdel Salam, a human rights professor based in Minneapolis, has expressed concern about the White House's messaging and has decided to not vote for Biden and encourage others to do the same. It remains to be seen how the Biden campaign will respond to the accusations and how the White House will address the ongoing conflict.

House of Representatives to Consider Censure Resolutions for Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rashida Tlaib Over Controversial Statements

The House of Representatives is set to consider two separate censure resolutions, one for Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and one for Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Greene's resolution accuses Tlaib of leading an "insurrection" at the Capitol last month, while Tlaib's resolution is in response to Greene's criticism of her over her criticism of Israel. The House will now decide whether to punish either or both of the two lawmakers for their controversial statements, with Greene's resolution seen as an attempt to trivialize the events of Jan. 6 and Tlaib's resolution seen as an attempt to hold Greene accountable.

Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against Michigan's Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, claiming that she has not responded to a letter from his campaign requesting confirmation that his name would be included on the 2024 ballot. The lawsuit seeks a court ruling that would declare Benson does not have the authority to keep Trump off the ballot, and several legal groups have filed lawsuits in multiple states claiming Trump should be disqualified from office. It is unclear how the court will rule on Trump's lawsuit and whether or not he will be allowed to appear on the ballot for the 2024 election.
