After 16 years on the run, Italian fugitive and convicted murderer Edgardo Greco was arrested this week in Saint-Etienne, France. He had been working under the alias Paolo Dimitrio and was convicted in absentia in 1991 for the double homicide of brothers Stefano and Giuseppe Bartolomeo. The arrest was made after a coordinated effort between Italian and French authorities, and is the latest mobster to be apprehended by Italian anti-Mafia police. Greco is currently being held in France and is awaiting extradition to Italy, where he is expected to face trial for his crimes.
