Search crews on Mount Rainier have recovered the body of 80-year-old solo climber Dawes Eddy, who had gone missing last week while taking the Ingraham Direct route. The park said Eddy's disappearance was the first time a solo climber had gone missing since 2014, and multiple search teams were deployed to look for him. The park has expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the climber and urged climbers to take necessary safety precautions when embarking on a solo climb.
