On April 20th, the White House is set to announce the creation of the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument, which will include three sites in Mississippi and Chicago to honor Till and his mother and recognize the impact of their story on the civil rights movement. President Joe Biden will sign the proclamation at the White House, officially designating the sites as a national monument.

9-Year-Old Ulysses Campos Killed in Tragic Drive-By Shooting in Chicago Suburb

Ulysses Campos, a 9-year-old boy, was killed in a drive-by shooting while attending his grandmother's birthday party in Chicago suburb Franklin Park on Saturday night. Police have taken a person of interest into custody and have found a car suspected to be involved in the shooting. Ulysses' family has placed a cross at the scene of the shooting to remember him, and the Franklin Park community is mourning his loss.
