A Flash Flood Emergency has been declared in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida due to a once-in-a-half-century rainfall event. Around 10-14 inches of rain have fallen across the area, causing widespread flooding, the closure of the city's airport, the shuttering of schools and the suspension of high-speed commuter rail service. Mayor Dean Trantalis has urged residents to take the necessary precautions to stay safe and to follow the advice of local authorities, while the National Weather Service has warned that the flooding could worsen. Public Works staff are working to mitigate the water as quickly as possible.

Flo Rida and Strong Arm Productions Awarded $82.6 Million in Breach of Contract Case Against Celsius Holdings Inc.

Flo Rida and his production company, Strong Arm Productions, have been awarded $82.6 million by a South Florida jury after it was found that Celsius Holdings Inc. had breached a contract with the rapper and singer and tried to hide money from him. The lawsuit alleged that Celsius had violated the conditions of an endorsement deal with Flo Rida and his production company. The jury's decision is a victory for Dillard and his production company, who will now receive the full amount of money they were owed.
