New Hampshire Man Arrested and Charged with Threatening 2024 Presidential Candidate and Attendees of Campaign Event

Tyler Anderson of Dover, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with sending two threatening replies to a text message sent by the campaign of presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. The messages allegedly included threats to "blow his brains out" and to "kill everyone who attends" an event. Anderson is facing federal charges and, if convicted, could face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of taking threats of violence seriously in the upcoming election.

Former Southern California Street Gang Leader Pleads Not Guilty to Tupac Shakur Murder After 22 Years of Mystery

Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis, a former Southern California street gang leader, pleaded not guilty to murder in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas. The charge was prompted by Davis' own descriptions of orchestrating the drive-by shooting, which was allegedly in retaliation for a brawl involving Shakur and Davis' nephew. Davis is currently being held without bail and is due back in court on August 5th.

Las Vegas Police Serve Search Warrant in Connection with 1996 Tupac Shakur Drive-By Shooting

Las Vegas police have served a search warrant in connection with the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur at the home of Duane Keith Davis, whose nephew Orlando Anderson had emerged as a suspect shortly after the rapper’s killing. The warrant sought laptops and other electronic devices, as well as desktops, other electronic storage devices such as thumb drives, CDs, external hard drives and audio recordings. Residents of the small Henderson neighborhood reported seeing officers detain two people at the property. The investigation into Tupac Shakur’s death remains open, with police yet to identify a suspect or make any arrests in connection with the case.

Sheldon Thomas Exonerated After 18 Years Wrongfully Spent in Prison

Sheldon Thomas, a 35-year-old man wrongfully convicted of murder and imprisoned for 18 years, was released Thursday after Brooklyn's Conviction Review Unit found that his initial arrest was based on a witness identification error. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez vacated Thomas' conviction, noting that it was a "tragic example of a witness identification gone wrong". Thomas is the first person to be exonerated by the Conviction Review Unit since it was established in 2014 and is now free and reunited with his family.
