The estate of Joshua McLemore is suing Jackson County, Indiana and several of its employees and contractors for wrongful death, alleging that McLemore's death was caused by 20 days of solitary confinement in the county jail. The lawsuit claims that the jail staff were aware of McLemore's schizophrenia and failed to provide him with appropriate mental health care, leading to his death. The case seeks damages for McLemore's death, as well as to hold the defendants accountable for their failure to provide proper care.
