A Palestinian citizen of Israel killed one man and wounded five others in shootings across several central Israeli communities before police killed him, authorities said. Police searched for additional suspects, and reports differed on whether a second suspect was arrested or killed.

Michael Gledhill, 44, has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of actor James Handy at a home in Los Angeles’ Tarzana neighborhood. Police said Gledhill, the son of Handy’s girlfriend, flagged down officers and told them he was the person they were looking for.
