Judge voids Trump IRS settlement granting tax audit immunity

A federal judge voided a settlement that would have given Donald Trump, his family and related entities immunity from tax audits and helped establish a $1.8 billion fund for alleged victims of government targeting. The judge said the lawsuit was brought for an improper purpose and sanctioned Trump lawyers involved in the case.

Bangkok pub fire kills at least 27 people

A fire at a Bangkok pub shortly after midnight Monday killed at least 27 people and injured several others, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said. Officials said the cause remains under investigation, while many victims were found in restrooms at the back of the venue.

Two killed in Toronto festival shooting

Two people were killed and six others injured when gunfire broke out at Toronto’s Salsa on St. Clair festival, police said. Investigators recovered two guns and were examining at least three crime scenes after what police described as an exchange of gunfire between targeted individuals.
