Three brothers, Oren, Tal, and Alon Alexander, were found guilty on all charges in a federal sex trafficking trial in New York City, concluding a monthlong legal battle that exposed allegations of drugging and sexually abusing numerous women over more than a decade. The jury of six men and six women returned the verdict Monday after deliberating since Thursday, convicting the brothers on 10 counts including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and sexual exploitation.

The Alexander brothers, who had pleaded not guilty, were accused of using their wealth, power, and social status to lure women and girls with promises of parties and trips, only to drug and assault them. Prosecutors presented testimony from 11 victims, including six whose accounts were part of the indictment. One victim, testifying under the pseudonym Katie Moore, described being drugged and raped by Alon Alexander after a night out at a New York City club, recalling a sudden loss of control and waking up naked with Alon standing over her. Another charge against Oren Alexander involved the sexual exploitation of a minor, with prosecutors alleging he filmed and shared a video of an incapacitated 17-year-old girl in 2009.

The brothers, known in the luxury real estate industry as “The A Team,” had built reputations in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, with Oren and Tal recognized for brokering high-end properties and Alon holding an executive role in the family’s private security firm. Their defense attorneys argued that all sexual encounters were consensual and suggested the accusers were motivated by financial gain or disappointment. Tal Alexander’s lawyer described the women’s stories as “rehearsed” and emphasized that the women were free to leave at any time. Oren Alexander’s attorney acknowledged his client’s offensive behavior but denied any criminal wrongdoing, stating, “We got here because of that stuff, not because they are rapists or drugged women.”

Prosecutors rejected the defense’s claims, highlighting the consistency and courage of the victims who testified despite the passage of time and the personal toll of recounting their experiences. Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Espinosa said, “There is no good reason why all these women would commit perjury and drag their friends and family into this.” The brothers face up to life in prison and are scheduled for sentencing in August. In addition to the criminal case, they are subject to numerous civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, including a recent suit filed by a Beverly Hills real estate broker accusing Oren Alexander of drugging and assaulting her in 2014, which his attorney called “salacious and demonstrably false.” The Alexander brothers have denied all allegations of misconduct.
