Three people are dead and one is critically injured after a shooting in Custer County, Colorado on Monday afternoon. The Custer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots near the town of Westcliffe, about 80 miles south of Colorado Springs, just before 1 p.m. Monday.

The shooting is believed to have been the result of a property dispute between two parties. Two men and one woman were fatally shot, while another woman was airlifted to Colorado Springs and then to Denver with multiple gunshot wounds. She is expected to survive.

In response to the shooting, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office issued a shelter-in-place order for the Rocky Ridge Road area in the northern part of Custer County, northeast of Westcliffe. A SWAT team arrived 20 minutes later and local residents were told to stay inside while the search for the suspect continued.

At the time of writing, the suspect is still at large and a manhunt is underway. The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact them.
