Kansas City police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting death of 6-year-old Sir’Antonio Brown. The suspects, Lakevis Sloan, 20, and an unnamed 17-year-old male, were taken into custody Tuesday evening as they exited a Greyhound bus in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The shooting occurred on May 3rd, when Sir’Antonio was playing in the yard of a Kansas City home with his uncle and a 7-year-old cousin. Police found more than 30 shell casings at the scene and police Maj. Violeta Magee told reporters at the time that the shooting was likely a result of a dispute between two groups.

The two suspects were charged with second-degree murder and are currently being held in South Dakota as they await extradition to Kansas City.

The shooting of Sir’Antonio Brown has sparked outrage in the community and police are continuing to investigate the incident. The Kansas City Police Department has asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
