Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has been out of the hospital for weeks, his daughter Corinne Foxx said on Friday. This comes after multiple reports suggested the actor’s condition had worsened.

Foxx was hospitalized on April 11 after an unspecified “medical emergency,” a representative said last month. In an effort to debunk the report, Corinne wrote on her Instagram story: “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”

The update comes after an Instagram account posted that Foxx’s loved ones were “preparing for the worst.” Corinne’s story has since disappeared, but Entertainment Tonight obtained screenshots.

The 55-year-old actor’s representative said last month that Foxx’s condition was serious enough that his family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital. However, Corinne’s update suggests that Foxx is recovering well.

Jamie Foxx is an Academy Award-winning actor, singer, and comedian. He is best known for his roles in films such as Ray, Django Unchained, and Baby Driver. Foxx has also won several awards, including a Grammy Award and a BAFTA Award.
