Dallas Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting of Girlfriend After She Had an Abortion

Dallas police have arrested 22-year-old Harold Thompson for the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, 26-year-old Gabriella Gonzalez. The shooting occurred Wednesday in a Dallas parking lot after Thompson learned that Gonzalez had traveled to Colorado to have an abortion and returned the previous day.

The shooting occurred despite the fact that nearly all abortions have been halted in Texas since Roe v. Wade was overturned last summer, except in cases of medical emergency. Thompson is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on a charge of murder.
