A 19-year-old Florida man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting Wednesday morning, according to Orange County Sheriff John Mina.

Mina said Keith Melvin Moses, the suspect in the earlier killing, returned to the scene and opened fire on a reporter and photographer who were in or near a vehicle, one of whom later died. The Spectrum News 13 crew was in Pine Hills around 4 p.m. covering the death of a woman in her 20s who had been found shot in that area around 11 a.m.

Moses then went to a nearby home, walked inside and shot a mother and her 9-year-old child, the sheriff said. The child was killed in the shooting and the mother was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moses has a lengthy criminal history that includes gun charges, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and assault with a deadly weapon. He is expected to be charged in four other shootings that occurred later in the day, including the killing of the Spectrum News 13 journalist, Mina added.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident and is asking anyone with information to contact them.
