Donald Trump is leading the polls for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, but has not yet said if he will join the first primary debate next week. Karl Rove, a Fox News contributor and GOP adviser, suggested Trump should join the debate to prove he is in charge, despite the risk of being attacked by his opponents. At least eight other candidates have qualified for the debate, including Chris Christie, one of Trump's most vocal critics.
