It is part of the Department of Justice's ongoing efforts to ensure police departments across the country are held accountable for their actions, and is expected to take several months to complete.

Rapper Trugoy the Dove of the Long Island hip hop trio De La Soul has passed away at the age of 54 after battling congestive heart failure. He was part of the hip-hop tribute at the Grammy Awards last week, and tributes have poured in from fans and fellow artists alike. De La Soul is widely credited with helping to bring alternative hip hop to the mainstream, having released nine studio albums, including their 1989 debut 3 Feet High and Rising, which is widely considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
