Peel Regional Police are investigating the theft of a cargo container carrying nearly $15 million in gold and other valuables from Toronto Pearson International Airport. The container contained gold and other "high value" items worth at least $20 million Canadian and was stolen on Monday. Inspector Stephen Duivesteyn said that the container was then "removed by illegal means" and reported missing to the police shortly afterward.
