Atlanta Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with the murder of Black transgender woman Rasheed Williams, who was featured in the upcoming Sundance Film Festival documentary "Kokomo City". Jermarcus Jernigan is being charged as an adult with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Williams, 35, was found shot to death in southwest Atlanta on April 18, sparking outrage in the transgender community and calls for justice for her and other transgender victims of violence.
