On Friday night, an employee at San Antonio International Airport was tragically killed after being "ingested" by a plane engine. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has since canceled their investigation after the medical examiner's findings revealed the employee died of suicide. Delta Air Lines and the San Antonio International Airport have released statements expressing their condolences and are working with authorities to investigate the incident.

Tragedy Strikes San Antonio International Airport as Employee is “Ingested” into Airplane Engine

On Friday night, an airport employee was tragically killed in an accident at San Antonio International Airport. The employee, employed by Unifi, a company that Delta contracts with, was "ingested" into an airplane engine while Delta Flight 1111 was taxiing to the gate. Delta and the San Antonio International Airport have released statements expressing their condolences and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the accident.
