Tragic Deaths of Three Marines from Camp Lejeune Confirmed as Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Three Marines from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina were found dead in a vehicle outside a convenience store on Sunday morning, having died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Sheriff Alan W. Cutler expressed his sadness at the "timeless and tragic death" of the three Marines, and the cause of the poisoning is still under investigation.

Three Marine lance corporals from Camp Lejeune were found dead in a vehicle at a North Carolina gas station on Sunday morning. The Pender County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause and circumstances of the deaths, and has stated that there is no threat to the public. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of their families.
