On Saturday night, 11 people were killed and nine others injured in a mass shooting at a dance studio in Monterey Park, California, as the city's majority Asian community celebrated the Lunar New Year. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said those killed included five women and five men, and the eleventh victim, a woman in her 70s, died at a hospital on Monday. Mayor Henry Lo said the community is in shock and disbelief, and Rep.
