Prince George’s County Police Arrest Former Mayor Patrick Wojahn on 56 Counts of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

Prince George's County Police Department has arrested 47-year-old Patrick Wojahn, former mayor of College Park, Maryland, on 56 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the police department of a social media account distributing suspected child pornography. Wojahn, who had been mayor since 2013 and a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 2007 to 2015, resigned from his position the same day. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the department's Child and Vulnerable Adult Unit.

Suspect Apprehended After Two-Day Manhunt for Shooting of Two Baltimore County Police Officers

A 24-year-old suspect was apprehended by law enforcement near a shopping mall in Fallston, Maryland after shooting two Baltimore County police officers on Wednesday. The manhunt lasted two days, with police using spike strips to disable the suspect's stolen vehicle. The suspect is now in custody and the officers are in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
