Lawrence O'Donnell has suggested that Donald Trump's 18 co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case are in a state of "abject panic," as Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer and a co-defendant, is set to meet with the Fulton County District Attorney. Giuliani has maintained his innocence, but O'Donnell believes the co-defendants are already turning on each other, leaving Giuliani's fate uncertain.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has given Trump and his 18 alleged co-conspirators until noon Aug. 25 to voluntarily surrender and avoid arrest. Kerik worked with Rudy Giuliani to confirm baseless allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election. Special counsel Jack Smith was not present during the five-hour interview, which focused on the events between the election and January 6th. It is unclear if Kerik will face any charges in connection with the investigation.

Rudy Giuliani Admits to Making “False” Statements in Georgia Election Workers Defamation Case

Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and outside lawyer for former President Donald Trump, has admitted to making false statements about two Georgia election workers in a court filing. This could potentially allow Giuliani to avoid handing over a batch of records related to his communications during the 2020 election, and potentially help him avoid "severe discovery sanctions" from the judge in the case. The judge has yet to rule on the matter, and Giuliani has not commented on the filing.

Giuliani Concedes to Making False Statements About Georgia Poll Workers in Court Filing

Rudy Giuliani, former personal attorney to former President Donald Trump, has conceded in a court filing that he made false statements about two Georgia poll workers, Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea "Shaye" Moss. The pair are suing Giuliani for defamation over baseless claims of fraud he made against them, and are seeking damages for the harm caused by the false statements, as well as punitive damages. Giuliani has argued that the concessions do not prevent him from asserting constitutional speech protections.

Washington, D.C. Bar Association Recommends Disbarment of Rudolph Giuliani for His Handling of 2020 Election Litigation

A three-lawyer panel from the Washington, D.C. Bar Association has recommended that former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani be disbarred for his handling of litigation challenging the 2020 election on behalf of then-President Donald Trump. The panel noted that Giuliani had "claimed massive election fraud but had no evidence," and that he and other Trump lawyers repeatedly pressed claims of election fraud that were almost uniformly rejected by federal and state courts. The recommendation now goes to the D.C. Court of Appeals, which will make the final decision on whether Giuliani will be disbarred.
