Maui County, Hawaii Set to Reopen to Tourism Following Devastating Wildfire

This comes one day after he defended his decision not to sound warning sirens as wildfires swept across the island. Devastating Wildfires Sweep Through Maui, Killing at Least 36 and Damaging Hundreds of Structures

On Wednesday, crews continued to battle devastating wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui that had already left at least 36 people dead and 271 structures damaged or destroyed. Thousands of people were forced to flee their homes, with many still unable to return as of Wednesday. The Red Cross has set up shelters and is providing essential supplies, while officials warn residents to be prepared for the possibility of more fires in the coming days.
