The Embassy has warned against all travel to Sudan and urged those in the country to remain in their homes and avoid large gatherings.

At least 26 people were killed and 103 wounded in fighting between Sudan's army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary force led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, a former leader of Sudan's Janjaweed forces. Dagalo's career has been both illustrious and deeply contentious, and the Sudan Doctors' Syndicate has called for an independent investigation into the incident to determine what sparked the violence.
