Five children from Connecticut were tragically killed in a car crash in Westchester County, New York, on Sunday morning. The victims, aged 8 to 17, were all passengers in a Nissan Rogue that veered off the Hutchinson River Parkway and hit a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The only survivor of the crash was a 9-year-old boy who was riding in the rear hatchback/cargo area and was able to escape out the back. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and the names of the victims have not been released.

Nissan is recalling over 800,000 small SUVs in the US and Canada due to an issue with the jackknife-style keys, which can cause the vehicle to turn off if touched or bumped. If driven with the key partially folded, the engine can lose power and the airbags may not inflate in a crash. Nissan is notifying owners and dealers will replace the keys free of charge.
