A 13-year-old girl from Texas was rescued in California after she was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by her abductor. The girl was able to escape and find help with a makeshift "help me" sign, leading to the arrest of Steven Robert Sablan, 61, of Cleburne, Texas. He has been charged with kidnapping and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

17 Injured, 2 Critically, After Public Bus Crashes into Cars and Building in Baltimore City

On Saturday morning, a public bus in Baltimore City crashed into two cars before hitting a building, injuring 17 people, two of them critically. The Baltimore Police Department responded to the scene and the Maryland Transit Administration reported that 10-15 people were transported to local hospitals. The MTA police department is actively investigating the incident and urged riders to use the Transit app for alert notifications.

Nissan Recalls Over 800,000 Small SUVs Due to Key Issue That Can Cause Ignition to Shut Off While Being Driven

Nissan is recalling over 800,000 small SUVs in the US and Canada due to an issue with the jackknife-style keys, which can cause the vehicle to turn off if touched or bumped. If driven with the key partially folded, the engine can lose power and the airbags may not inflate in a crash. Nissan is notifying owners and dealers will replace the keys free of charge.

10 Injured in Targeted Drive-By Shooting in Lakeland, Florida

On Monday afternoon, a targeted drive-by shooting in Lakeland, Florida left at least 10 people injured, two of whom are in critical condition. Four shooters fired from a dark-blue Nissan four-door sedan, and the Lakeland Police Department is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Chief Taylor expressed his sadness at the incident and urged anyone with information to contact the police department.

13-Year-Old Girl Leads Nebraska Troopers on High-Speed Chase

A 13-year-old girl led Nebraska troopers on a high-speed chase that lasted nearly 20 minutes on Monday night. The chase began when a trooper spotted the vehicle driving at 35 mph and the driver allegedly accelerated to speeds of over 100 mph. The two children in the vehicle were eventually taken into protective custody, and the incident is still under investigation.
