Donald Trump walked out of an NBC Meet the Press interview after Kristen Welker challenged his claims that California’s primary elections and the 2020 presidential election were rigged. The interview also covered Iran, the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and a dropped $1.8 billion compensation proposal.

Trump defended a nearly $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund and declined to rule out payments for Jan. 6 defendants charged with assaulting police. He also claimed without evidence that California elections were rigged as votes continued to be counted.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has been removed from the House Freedom Caucus, a group of conservative lawmakers founded in 2015 to advance conservative policies. Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) made definitive comments on the matter during an appearance on NBC News' “Meet the Press NOW”. Greene, however, said she had not been informed of her ousting and was not concerned about it. Despite her removal, Greene said she had no time for the “drama club” and was not concerned about her ousting from the Freedom Caucus.
