Keke Palmer Files Court Papers Accusing Ex-Boyfriend of Abuse, Seeks Sole Custody of 8-Month-Old Son

Keke Palmer has filed court papers accusing her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson of physical and emotional abuse, destruction of her personal property, and threats to take their 8-month-old son away. Lizzo Facing New Lawsuit Alleging Hostile Work Environment and Racial Discrimination

Grammy-winning singer and activist Lizzo is facing a new lawsuit from a former employee who claims that her staff were subjected to bullying, harassment and racial discrimination. Leah Remini, best known for her role in the sitcom “King of Queens”, has filed a lawsuit against the Church of Scientology and its leader, David Miscavige, alleging that she has been threatened, harassed, and stalked for the past decade. The lawsuit seeks injunctive relief to end the Church's policies against Suppressive Persons, so that current and former Scientologists, and others who wish to expose Scientology's abuses, may feel free to do so without fear of being threatened into silence. The Church of Scientology has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Grammy Award-Winning Singer Lizzo Facing Lawsuit from Former Dancers Alleging Hostile Work Environment and Sexual Harassment

Grammy award-winning singer Lizzo is facing a lawsuit from three of her former dancers, who allege that they were subjected to a hostile work environment and sexual harassment. The plaintiffs claim that Lizzo and her management team created a toxic work environment, including "debauchery" and racially biased taunts, and that the captain of Lizzo’s dance team made them feel uncomfortable. The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages, as well as an injunction to prevent Lizzo and her management team from engaging in similar conduct in the future. Lizzo’s representatives have not yet commented on the lawsuit.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced that he will not appeal a lower court ruling that Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten should be released from prison after serving 53 years for two infamous murders. The victims' families still feel the impact of the Manson cult's brutal killings more than 50 years later, but Van Houten is expected to be released in the coming months due to her age at the time of the crime, her remorse, and her exemplary behavior in prison.

New York and California Attorneys General Launch Investigation into NFL for Possible Violations of Pay Equity and Anti-Discrimination Laws

The National Football League (NFL) is facing an investigation from the attorneys general of New York and California over possible violations of pay equity and anti-discrimination laws. Subpoenas have been issued to NFL executives as part of an examination into the workplace culture, following a lawsuit filed by former NFL director Jennifer Love. The NFL has said it takes allegations of workplace discrimination seriously and has a zero-tolerance policy, but the investigation is ongoing and the attorneys general have not yet released any findings.
