Judge Holly Fujie ruled in favor of Gaga, noting McBride's involvement in the theft and her plea of no contest. McBride had attempted to sue Gaga for the reward money offered for the return of Gaga's two French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, which were stolen in February and later recovered unharmed.

Jennifer McBride, one of the co-defendants charged in connection with the theft of Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs, has filed a lawsuit against the singer for allegedly denying her the $500,000 “no questions asked” reward. The lawsuit claims Gaga “defrauded” her by making a promise without intent to perform, and seeks damages for McBride’s pain and suffering, as well as the $500,000 reward.
