Tallahassee Classical School Principal Resigns Following Controversy Over Art History Lesson

Hope Carrasquilla, the former principal of Tallahassee Classical School, resigned this week after parents complained about a lesson on Michelangelo's statue of David. On Monday night, a devastating eight-alarm fire destroyed a large church in Florence Township, New Jersey, despite the efforts of 150 firefighters. The senior pastor of the church expressed his devastation, but also his faith that the church will be stronger than ever. Firefighters managed to control the blaze by Tuesday morning, and the church has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the rebuilding process.
