On Saturday night, a shooting at a luxury apartment complex in Jacksonville, Florida resulted in the death of a 3-year-old child and two adults. Witnesses reported two men fleeing the scene and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone with information to come forward.

On Monday afternoon in Jacksonville, Florida, a 9-year-old child fatally shot a 6-year-old in the head. Data from Everytown for Gun Safety shows that there have been at least 240 unintentional shootings by children in the U.S. this year, resulting in 88 deaths and 160 injuries. The victim in this case was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, but was ultimately pronounced dead.
