Indiana University Students and Supporters Unite to Speak Out in Support of Israel at March for Israel

Indiana University students and other supporters joined together on Monday to speak out in support of Israel in the March for Israel. President Biden weighed in on the situation, expressing his hope for less intrusive action relative to hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Tahl Ben-Yehuda, a cantor from Overland Park, Kansas, attended the march to lend her voice to denounce antisemitism and to be a voice for her two cousins taken by Hamas.

Indiana Man Indicted on Federal Hate Crime Charge for Stabbing of Chinese-American Student

Billie Davis, 56, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Evansville, Indiana for a hate crime in connection with the January 2023 attack of an 18-year-old Indiana University student. Davis allegedly told police that she stabbed the student in the head with a folding knife for "being Chinese" and the Justice Department is prosecuting the case. The attack has sparked outrage and fear in the Chinese-American community and the Chinese-American Student Association at Indiana University has organized a rally to show support for the student and to call for justice.
