Eight employees were injured in an explosion at an Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) facility in Decatur, Illinois on Sunday evening. The Decatur Fire Department is investigating the cause of the incident, and the extent of the employees' injuries is not yet known. ADM is cooperating with the investigation and is focused on the safety of its employees.

The Illinois Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the state's ban on assault weapons, overturning a lower court decision. Police have arrested Levon Semaj Longstreet, a 17-year-old charged with second-degree murder and second-degree assault in connection with a fatal shooting at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. Taeshawn Adams-Wright, 18, has also been charged and a 17-year-old boy and his mother were taken into custody Tuesday in connection with the shooting. An investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
