Lynn Kelly, 64, of Porter, Maine, successfully defended her dog from a bear attack on Friday afternoon by punching the bear in the nose. The bear bit her right hand, puncturing her wrist, but she was able to fight it off and it quickly fled. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is urging people to take precautions when in bear country and to carry bear spray. Kelly is currently recovering from her injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Michigan State Police have confirmed that the deaths of three Michigan rappers, Armani Kelly, Dante Wicker, and Montoya Givens, were the result of gang violence and not related to music.
