John Bolton plans to plead guilty to one count of retaining classified national security information and pay a $2.25 million fine, according to CBS News. The former Trump national security adviser is expected to enter the plea June 26 in federal court in Maryland.

A hostage standoff at a Bakersfield office building ended Wednesday when FBI personnel fatally shot the suspect, police said. All hostages were freed unharmed after the confrontation began with a bomb threat Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities evacuated part of downtown Bakersfield after a reported bomb threat at a Chase bank branch. Police said an unidentified man was barricaded inside with an unknown number of people, and at least one hostage was reported by a local CBS affiliate.
