Members of the right-wing group have refused to comment on the matter, and Greene herself is unsure of her status. Despite the three-week session, the issue is likely to remain unresolved until the House takes a six-week break at the end of the month.

North Carolina Man Sentenced to Over Three Years in Prison for Attacking Police Officers with Flagpole During Capitol Riot

Matthew Jason Beddingfield, 22, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison for assaulting police officers with a metal flagpole with a sharpened end during the January 6th Capitol riot. He had previously been free on pretrial release for an attempted murder charge in Johnston County, North Carolina. U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin warned that this sentence should serve as a warning to anyone who would consider similar conduct in the future.

Judge Rules Steve Bannon Must Pay Former Legal Firm $480,487.87 Plus Legal Fees and Interest for Unpaid Work

A New York Supreme Court judge has ruled that Steve Bannon must pay his former legal firm Davidoff Hutcher & Citron $480,487.87 plus legal fees and interest for two years' worth of unpaid work. The firm had sought $2 million in damages, but the judge ultimately ruled in favor of the firm's original claim. Bannon has yet to comment on the ruling and it is unclear if he plans to appeal the decision.

Taylor Taranto Arrested Near Former President Obama’s Home with Guns and Ammunition in Possession

Taylor Taranto, a 37-year-old man identified as a participant in the Jan. 6 insurrection, was arrested near former President Obama's home in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. He was arrested on an open warrant for an alleged assault at the Capitol and had two guns, 400 rounds of ammunition, and a machete in the van he appeared to be living in. A search of the van also revealed materials that could be used to create a Molotov cocktail. Taranto currently faces four misdemeanor counts in connection with Jan. 6 and the case is ongoing.

Suspect Arrested Near Obama’s Home with Materials to Make Explosives in Connection with Jan. 6 Capitol Assault

Taylor Taranto, 37, of Seattle, Washington was arrested in the former President Barack Obama's neighborhood on Thursday with materials to make explosives. He had an active warrant related to the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol and had previously made social media threats against a public figure. Taranto is also facing a lawsuit from the widow of a Metropolitan Police Department officer who died by suicide and had been living in a van near the D.C. jailhouse in recent weeks.
