Tragedy Strikes University of Georgia Community After Fatal Car Crash Kills Two Football Team Members

Two members of the University of Georgia football team were killed in a single-car crash early Sunday morning. Chandler LeCroy, 24, and Devin Willock, 20, were in the vehicle when it went off the road and crashed into two power poles and several trees. The crash occurred hours after the team celebrated their national championship victory with a parade. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the crash.

At least seven people have been killed and dozens of homes destroyed in Butts County, Georgia and Autauga County, Alabama, after a severe storm system swept through the South on Thursday. Devastation in Selma, Alabama as Powerful Tornado Leaves Multiple Dead and Dozens of Homes Destroyed

On Thursday, a powerful tornado ripped through Selma, Alabama, leaving multiple people dead and dozens of homes destroyed. The National Weather Service issued a warning for a “large and extremely dangerous tornado”, and Autauga County Coroner Buster Barber confirmed that “more than four” people lost their lives. Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a warehouse, and crews are currently focused on cutting through downed trees to look for people who may be injured. The community is in mourning for those who lost their lives due to the devastating storm.
