Shane Hoskins, 31, has been charged with two counts of grand larceny and one count of identity theft, accused of drugging and then stealing from two people in April 2022. Prosecutors allege that Hoskins and four unidentified co-conspirators would approach intoxicated people outside bars or nightclubs in Manhattan, engage them in conversation and then offer them drugs to incapacitate them and facilitate the theft of their property. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD.

Grand Jury Concludes Activities Without Voting on Indictment in Trump Hush Money Payments Investigation

A grand jury in New York has concluded its activities without voting on an indictment related to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. The grand jury is not expected to meet this week, and is expected to reconvene in the coming weeks to consider possible charges against former President Donald Trump. Witnesses such as Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations related to the payments, have testified before the grand jury.
