A 31-year-old Syrian refugee with permanent Swedish residency has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing attack in a French Alps park that left four young children and two adults injured. The victims, who came from multiple countries, are no longer in life-threatening condition and the suspect is currently detained in Annecy. Former New Mexico Republican candidate Solomon Peña has been indicted on federal charges in connection with a series of drive-by shootings at the homes of four Democratic officials in December 2022 and January 2021.
