A UN commission of inquiry says Israel has deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza as part of acts amounting to genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Israel rejected the report as a “libellous sham” and said it ignores Hamas’ tactics and attacks on Israeli children.
Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed Wishah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home in central Gaza, the network said. His brother, Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Wishah, was killed in a separate Israeli strike in April.
A federal judge ordered the release of Salah Sarsour, a Wisconsin mosque leader detained by ICE, after finding he raised a substantial First Amendment retaliation claim. Sarsour says he was targeted for his Palestinian rights advocacy, while DHS has called him a national security threat.
