The Senate panel was set to vote Wednesday to subpoena Schultz if he did not willingly agree to testify, but with Schultz now agreeing to appear, the vote is no longer necessary.

President Joe Biden Nominates Julie Su as First Asian American Woman to Lead U.S. Department of Labor

President Joe Biden has announced his nomination of Julie Su to be the next Secretary of Labor. Su is a civil rights attorney and former head of California's labor department, and has spent her life fighting for the rights of workers. If confirmed, she will become the first Asian American woman to lead the U.S. Department of Labor, replacing the departing incumbent, former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. Su has worked to increase the minimum wage, create good-paying, high-quality jobs, and establish and enforce workplace safety standards, as well as crack down on wage theft and protect trafficked workers.

Marty Walsh to Leave Biden Administration for NHLPA Position, Becoming First Statutory Member of Cabinet to Depart

Marty Walsh, President Joe Biden's Labor Secretary, is set to leave the administration to become head of the National Hockey League Players Association. He is the designated survivor for the State of the Union, and his departure will leave a vacancy in the Biden administration. Walsh will take over the NHLPA from Don Fehr, who has held the job since 2010.
