Russian-backed authorities in occupied Crimea halted public fuel sales after Ukrainian drone strikes hit oil facilities in Kerch and Russia’s Krasnodar region. Officials said at least five people were killed across the attacks.
Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed Wishah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home in central Gaza, the network said. His brother, Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Wishah, was killed in a separate Israeli strike in April.
Russian strikes killed civilians in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Sumy as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a possible “massive attack.” Both Ukraine and Russia also reported major overnight drone activity, including a Ukrainian strike attempt on a refinery in western Siberia.

Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz declared a state of emergency to clear antigovernment roadblocks that have disrupted food, fuel and medical supplies. Protesters are demanding restored fuel subsidies, reversal of austerity measures and Paz’s resignation.
